The Westwood Symphony Orchestra just took home 1st Runner-Up at the 2026 National Orchestra Cup held at Lincoln Center in New York City! Wondering just how big of a deal this is? The Orchestra Cup is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious youth music competitions in the country. Ensembles are evaluated by panels of world-renowned conductors and professional musicians, and the qualifying standards are incredibly rigorous. Just being selected to compete is a massive honor—taking the podium as 1st Runner Up means our orchestra is officially recognized as one of the absolute best of the best! In addition to their collective ensemble honor, musicians Ella Kim & Imy Gao received individual Outstanding Soloist awards. 👏🏼 Bravo to our incredibly talented musicians and directors on this top tier achievement! #SKOWOOD
