What is the Excellence Fund? Quite simply the Excellence Fund is the WHS Booster Club for Academics. Begun in 1995, the Excellence Fund helps offset budget cuts to the academic programs. Its sole purpose is to help maintain the academic excellence your student enjoys at WHS.Every dollar raised by the Excellence Fund stays on the WHS campus. Excellence Fund Form

Who benefits from it? YOUR student benefits from the Excellence Fund. Each year, WHS teachers submit requests for materials and equipment to aid in academic instruction. The Site-Based Advisory Committee disburses the funds to fill those teacher requests according to the goals and priorities established by the committee. The Excellence Fund has made substantial contributions over the years to almost every academic department, to the Westwood Library, and to help upgrade technology.

Who contributes to the Excellence Fund? Parents, teachers, school organizations, and members of the Westwood business community. Look for the Westwood Excellence Fund plaque in the Hall of Honor for the list of the hundreds of specific names who have contributed over the past twenty years.
